An arrogant and overprotective father...
A man fighting the good fight for his dreams... When these two quarrel, the arrogant father ruins the good man's long cherished dream. When the good man turns to avenge his enemy, he chooses the innocent boy as a sacrifice for the arrogant father's sin. "Mount Sermon" recreates small town life in the Northern part of the South Indian state of Kerala. Lepak’s son does not come back home after school. He finds his son among the townsfolk, listening intoxicated to a storyteller, an old man who never before attracted so much attention. Lepak loses his good sense for a moment and beats up the old man in front of dozens of avid listeners. What Lepak didn’t know was that he just ruined the storyteller’s finest performance in years, a lifelong struggle to live a life of success. Kathik, the storyteller, weaves a story and snares those who hurt him inside the story’s labyrinth. The storyteller’s bait is Prekshaka, Lepak’s boy. Kathik leads Prekshaka to the deadly waterfall in the mountains, to atone for the humiliation and failure, to avenge someone’s rightful anger with his own sense of justice. Thus originated the enigma of the storyteller’s revenge. |
